The Urban Resources Initiative (URI) is a partnership between the Yale School of the Environment and a nonprofit organization guided by a local board of directors, combining university expertise with the diverse perspectives of community leaders from across New Haven. Together, URI creates hands-on learning opportunities for Yale students while supporting the community through a “mutual pathway of learning,” in which students and community members learn from one another while working to improve the environment.
